The Office of Educator Licensure encourages currently licensed educators from other states to apply for reciprocal licensure in Nevada. If you hold a Level I & II, Advanced Educator, or Vocational 1 & 2 license in Pennsylvania, you may qualify for reciprocal licensure in Nevada. An educator who holds a current, unexpired educator license in any state, and who also holds a current, valid National Board of Professional Teaching Standards Certificate, may receive a reciprocal Nevada license. (See http://www.doe.nv.gov/Educator_Licensure/New_Teachers_Out_of_State_Applicants/ for full details).

For Initial Licensure, please see http://www.doe.nv.gov/Educator_Licensure/

If you are applying for a Nevada educator licensure for the first time, you will need to submit the following: a completed application for Educator Licensure (available at http://www.doe.nv.gov/Educator_Licensure/Online_Portal/), fingerprints, original transcripts issued by an accredited college or university bearing the college or university seal, competency testing score reports, copies of any valid and unexpired teaching credentials from other states, verification of teaching/work experience if applicable, a copy of your valid driver’s license or ID card, and the $180 non-refundable licensing fee payable to the Nevada Department of Education.

Please visit http://www.doe.nv.gov/Educator_Licensure/ for more information. The Nevada Department of Education Office of Educator Licensure may be contacted at 702.486.6458 (Las Vegas Office) or 775.687.5980
